Greetings from rainy New York City.

Since the city closedown, I am spending my quarantine days training in my apartment building’s playground located next to Central Park in Manhattan. I have developed a training plan with resistance bands which I am succefuly executing for 6 weeks now. I am also writing and designing a lot which is keeping me quite busy.

After winning WFF Pro World Championships in Mexico last November and a big success with the Interview for Men’s Health Magazine, the expectations for 2020 were even higher.

I became the President of WFF Serbia and Balkan at the beginning of 2020 which added even more workload given that one of the main tasks was the organization of the Balkan Championships and Mediterranean Championship this year.

We managed to gather the best people from the region and create the best possible relations among member countries. I am proud to say that in 2020, Republic of Georgia joined WFF Balkan as the 11th member country.

Balkan Federation is very important for many reasons. First of all, from quality standpoint. We gained a lot given that best athletes from 11 countries are competing, compared to single country National Championships. Furthermore, we have gained a lot from the Marketing standpoint since we are using the rotation system when choosing the next host country which will have the opportunity to host a large number of athletes from abroad.

The fact that Balkan Championships have such international character opens serious sponsorship opportunities. WFF Balkan also organizes WFF Fit Kids competitions which attract hundreds of children ages 4-12 from the region. Between the numbers of amateur athletes, coaches, children competitors, families coming to support and cheer and general admission audience, it is easy to notice and understand the potential financial impact that organizing such event could have on any particular host city.

Besides financial impact, it is of utmost importance to educate our children about fitness, exercising and healthy way of living and to steer them away from the streets, video games and fast food.

I have to add that the Overall winners of Balkan Championships earn professional status. We started with this practice in 2017 as a proof that the region has sufficient quality and talent for the World Professional Stage.

In 2017, I won my professional status along with my dear friend Akin Yarici from Turkey. In 2018 we remember the Overall win of Katarina Skroza (Croatia) in Mostar. Last year, Elma Skaljic (BBK Mostar, Bosnia & Herzegovina) won the Overall Title and the Pro Card in Belgrade.

Balkan Championships is of the utmost importance for all of us and I hope that the championship will grow in future years and continue serving as a stepping stone for young generation of competitors towards biggest professional competitions in the World.

As far as my personal plans, the most important competition in first part of the season was professional European Championships in Prague where my goal was to defend my Titles won in 2018 and 2019. WFF Mr. Universe was to follow in Thailand in June 2020. This show was rescheduled for 2021 due to the Covid 19 virus.

In the second part of the season, all of my focus will be on winning my fourth straight Pro Worlds Title (after Titles won in 2017, 2018 and 2019) on November 8th and 9th in Bali, Indonesia.

As far as my business plans, besides organizing competitions under WFF Balkan, I have planned to promote Skinny Chocolate at WFF competitions in Pretoria, South Africa and Guadalajara, Mexico where I have been invited as a promoter and as a guest.

Skinny Chocolate is a specially designed chocolate that significantly decreases sugar cravings since its proprietary formula has glycemic index of o, helps with weight management, boost energy and improves sleep.  Our newest product – Skinny Day, is designed by Sasa Vujadinovic and it is based on the concept of my nutrition. We managed to pack the nutrients of my meal in a form of delicious chocolate creating a true Superfood Meal Replacement. While sales in the US are growing, the situation with the virus prevented us for going international with the product. We are definitely ready and waiting patiently for the cease of the international quarantine.

Besides chocolate, I am doing a lot work as a consultant. At the moment, I am designing training sequences for Technogym and their gym equipment. I have a great relationship and collaboration with the Italian manufacturer. Even now, during the quarantine, we have a lot of projects in works due to the increased demand for home gym solutions.

Overall, I cannot wait for the World to reopen so I can continue where I left off. I train and prepare even more motivated In order to become better, both as a professional athlete and in business.

I never quit and I see all the difficulties along the way only as small hurdles that I have to go over in order to win. I train every day and there are no excuses such as cold weather, being tired or holidays because for me, being a professional athlete is not a title, but a lifestyle.
